Flow MD recently shipped this FMD-090 small volume prover to Midland, Texas, for a new measurement application. This meter prover will be utilized for crude oil measurement and paired with a Coriolis flow meter for precision custody transfer measurement.
The FMD-090 is capable of handling flow ranges up to 12,850 BPH (2,000 M3H or 9,000 GPM) and is an ideal choice for hydrocarbon measurement applications. This meter prover includes some FMD Prover accessories specifically selected for this application. An all-stainless drain kit provides durability while allowing for prover draining and ease of field water draw. The thermal relief kit enables safe operation by providing pressure release when the prover is isolated with product. The prover validation kit uses an encoder to determine measured volume, prover volume per run, variance volume, and the flow rates on the primary and secondary volumes.
