Sensor Kit

FMD Small Volume Prover Transmitter Type Options

All FMD provers are equipped with two temperature and one pressure transmitter. One temperature transmitter is used for expansion calculations on the switch bar. The other temperature transmitter works in conjunction with the pressure transmitter to verify process fluid temperature and pressure during the proving process.

Drain Kit

FMD Small Volume Prover Spare Part Kits

The optional drain kit is connected to the provers drain flanges.  The drain kit allows for proper and quick product removal for prover servicing.

Thermal Relief Kit

FMD Small Volume Prover Pressure Relief Valve Option

Thermal relief valves are used on provers to protect against over-pressurizing. The valve can be specified by FMD or customer choice. Included with the installation is the connection hardware and an isolation ball valve.

Valve Settings Options:

  • Customer Defined
  • Factory set to ANSI flange spec of prover

Note: Additional installation piping to a safe discharge area is required.

Leak Detector Kit

Prover Validation Kit

The Prover Validation Kit uses an encoder for prover validation by measuring the distance between the optical switches allowing for the following to be determined: measured volume, prover volume per run, variance volume, flow rates on primary and secondary volumes.

The Prover Data Acquisition Module (PDAQ) is an interface between a compact prover and a flow computer. The PDAQ has has various features which include various I/O an double chronometry capability. See our PDAQ Information Sheet.

Density (Mass) Proving Kit

FMD Small Volume Prover Density (Mass) Proving Kit Option

Adding the density option enhances measurement potential allowing for volume verification of density in volumetric applications. Density measurements are required for mass proving.

FMD’s density package includes a density loop to verify density at the time of proving. Providing a complete and accurate measurement verification of a mass meter with volumetric outputs.

Spectacle Blind Kit

When a water draw is necessary for Prover verification, spectacle blinds are a useful option that allows for a complete seal of the system. All FMD spectacle blinds are produced according to ASME B16.48 and designed to withstand pressure–temperature combinations listed in the ASME B16.5 flange design specification.

Portable Prover

FMD Small Volume Prover Spare Part Kits

A Prover mounted on either a truck or a trailer is ideal for load rack proving and other proving applications where a stationary Prover is not feasible or available. Swivel joints and hoses allow for connection to site proving taps. For higher pressure applications, loading arms make the loading and unloading process efficient and cost effective while allowing for easy operation and safe handling.

Water Draw Kit

FMD Small Volume Prover Water Draw Kit Option

The FMD water draw kit is a system enclosed a rugged case allowing for field calibration of a prover.  The kit contains all solenoid and hand actuated valves, along with the various tubing and electrical to perform a water draw.

Purge Coverset and Controller

FMD Small Volume Prover Purge Controller Option

The purge coverset and controller are used in conjunction with one another for low temperature product applications.  The purge controller regulates a local nitrogen source through the prover’s nitrogen purge coverset. This prevents ice build up on the portions of the prover that reciprocate in and out of the cold process conditions.
